Dr. Avery, a native of New Orleans, earned her Bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She holds two Master’s degrees- one in Mental Health Counseling and the other in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She also earned a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Avery completed her internship in Murfreesboro, TN at The Guidance Center, Volunteer Behavioral Healthcare System. Her Post-Doctoral Fellowship was completed at LSU- Health Sciences Center Juvenile Justice Program.
Dr. Avery is committed to providing a personalized and strengths-based approach to help her clients achieve mental wellness. She specializes in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders, with expertise in trauma focused interventions such as Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy for the treatment of PTSD. Her experience also includes conducting disability evaluations, psychosexual evaluations, bariatric evaluations and psychoeducational evaluations.
Dr. Avery is the proud mother to a wonderful daughter. She is honored to return home to serve her community and provide compassionate care to those in need.

Aisha H. Henderson, is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) at Living Well Psychological Services, LLC. She graduated with an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from University of Phoenix in 2006. She earned a Master’s in Business Administration, concentrating in Human Resources from University of Phoenix in 2013. Later she earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Holy Cross, in 2024.
She views counseling as a collaborative process where both you, the client, and she work together to build understanding and trust, explore and clarify current challenges, define goals for a better life, and actively work toward achieving those goals. She is prepared to work with individuals, adults, adolescents, veterans, married couples, and children 12 and over. These interventions help clients gain a deeper understanding of their core issues and develop solutions in a safe and confidential environment tailored to their therapeutic needs.
She focuses on seeing clients with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Mood Disorders, Individual problems, Substance Use Disorder, Crisis Intervention needs and life transitional issues. She approaches counseling through Solution-Focused, Person-Centered, Mindfulness, Self-care and Evidence -based practices.

As the Revenue Cycle and Credentialing Coordinator at Living Well Psychological Services, LLC., Hannah Gehring ensures that the practice’s financial and administrative systems operate efficiently and accurately. With expertise in billing, coding, and insurance credentialling, she manages claim submissions, tracks reimbursements, and handles provider enrollments to support timely reimbursement and compliance. Her work streamlines operations so our clinicians can focus on providing exceptional care while clients experience a seamless and transparent billing and insurance process.
